Downsized as family all grown up. Excellent wee car in every way apart from the engine power. Its a 1.4 sri and I thought it would be nippy enough but it is far from it. Everything else is absolutely perfect. Car is very economical to run and comfortable on long journeys. Wish I had gone for a bigger engine.

Only just purchased the car, but so far really pleased with it. Previously had a diesel but this feels so much lighter and responsive in comparison

I didn't get this car as when I call the dealer there was a rude guy who seem to have got out of bed the wrong side. He was not in the mood while I was trying to find out about the car and negotiate with him. I stayed calm and left him as I think he was on his period. That's approved car centre.

Brought this at the weekend. No warranty but obviously a part ex. Despite a bit of damp where it had been sitting around it looked good (apart from scrape on front bumper). Typical diesel noise but is running well and very responsive. So far so good. Sales staff very friendly and helpful

Great Car - Gutless performance

My astra is a 1.4 model, I find that it struggles going up hills. Therefore only average performance on motorways.

My Vauxhall Astra Convertible is now 12 years old. It was bought by me as a ten-month-old showroom model, and had several extras, including built-in satellite navigation (unusual at that time). I have always preferred to drive convertible cars, and this car was good value for money, and has given me a lot of pleasure over the years. The automatic controls for the hood (often a weak point in some convertibles) are still in perfect working order, as are all the other features. Admittedly I don't do much mileage annually, and do ensure that the car has a full annual service, but nevertheless the car has not had to have any major part replacements. Its trade-in value is now so low that I am happy to keep it until forced to replace it.

Good steady car, few faults, inexpensive spares except keys. One of a string I have owned. Once bought a Ford equivalent, and that will stay at once.

This car can achieve great fuel economy, reasonable comfort and generally a good specification. But with a gearbox that seems to be missing a ratio or two, a brake pedal that can go to the floor as standard, an engine that when you put your foot down it wants to make a decision as to what it should do.... Why was this car built so ordinarily?

I have found the car very good

Great drive, responsive. Very practical and roomy and of course reasonably economical.

My only gripe with the vehicle is the poor forward vision both sides particularly on bends and corners. Also rear view is restricted when manoeuvring. Other than that I am quite pleased with my choice.
